Agata Irene di Paola

Agata iIrene di Paola is a graduated at the University of Catania in Environmental Science with her thesis on the photo-identification of sperm whales in the Aeolian islands. She is now undertaking a master course in Environmental Biology at the University of Catania.

Sha has taken part in the field activities of the organisation in 2015. In 2017, she has carried out her internship with Filicudi Wildlife Conservation, focusing on monitoring activities and all the various activities at the Turtle Point. She has taken part in volunteering activities with WWF Sicilia Orientale Catania monitoring sea turtles’ nests. Moreover, she collaborated with the local Greenpeace group in Catania, covering the role of co-coordinator from 2017 to 2018.

Today she collaborates with the organisation in a different range of projects focused on the protection of the sea and the species inhabiting it.
